Eric and Spencer - Hamilton Downtown Engagement Shoot

Eric and Spencer contacted us through our mutual friend Natasha. They made sure that we were available to shoot their engagement and wedding after seeing Natasha and Colin's engagement that was shot at McMaster University and Dundas Peak .

Eric proposed to Spencer with a custom 3D printed Lego ring. I feel that pretty much sums up their relationship. It's unique, it's quirky, and it's full of love for Lego.

We met up these two handsome gentlemen on a sunny, Sunday morning in spring (boy, try saying that five times, fast) to catch a little bit of their chemistry on film -  memory cards really, but you get the point. What unfolded was one of the most entertaining shoots I've had the opportunity to be a part of. From acrobatics on top of dumpsters to actually kissing (making out) in the middle of one of the busiest streets in downtown Hamilton with cars passing by, it had it all.

Ana and Rados - Stoney Creek Lakeshore Wedding

I would like to start my blog post from a quote I stole from Ana's Facebook post. "7.5.2017. Kad smo sluzbeno postali porodica.". ("07/05/2017 - When we officially became family"). And yes, it was a beautiful day. The first moment I sat down with this beautiful couple I knew they were special: Ana with her shy demeanor yet a twinkle in her eyes and Rados with his statesman like calm, collective manner. I've always wondered if I'd be able to handle being away from my loved one and these two love birds have given me new hope.

The ceremony and the reception were held at the Carmen's Lakeview (http://carmenslakeview.com/) and the wedding party pictures were taken at the surrounding lakefront area. Ana looked radiant in the same dress that her mother wore for her wedding and Rados, he looked as handsome as ever.

Icing on the cake (I know I'm horrible at puns) for me was the amazing hues the sky took on to congratulate the newly weds. I should especially thank the couple for letting me steal them for a few minutes to take advantage of the golden sun.

Congratulations guys, keep smiling!

Aleysha and Suraj - Toronto Reference Library Wedding

I've never been to a wedding at a library before, that is until Suraj and Aleysha came along and asked us to immortalize their wedding at the Toronto Reference Library.

One thing Marcellino and I noticed from the first instance we met was the incredible chemistry that these two high-school sweethearts exhibited. They were very flirtatious, laughing at inside jokes, and genuinely complimented one another to a degree that made me envious. Their engagement shoot was a blast from the (recent) past. We snuck (graciously let in by some friendly staff) into their high school and did an 80's retro shoot

I get carried away a lot, back to the wedding day. The girls were getting ready at the luxurious Park Hyatt Toronto. We had quite a lot of natural lighting which was very useful in capturing Aleysha's generous smile and gracious features while she was getting done up. The gentlemen were getting ready at Suraj's parents house in Scarborough. We managed to get some pictures of the wedding party in before the simple ceremony.

A special request from the couple was that we capture their 'high five' after they've been declared man and wife. This was the high-five to end all the high-fives they've shared across their romance and I only hope I could do justice for the love that was palpable in their expressions.

The reception was a blast! I'm telling you, people from the islands; they know how to throw a party. After an amazing dinner, a few emotional yet encouraging speeches it was time to dance. And dance they did! It was an amazing privilege for us to be a part of Suraj and Aleysha's special day. We wish them greener pastures in their married life. Keep high-fiving!

Shannon and Tristan - Dr. Who Themed Wedding

I met Tristan through a mutual friend. At the time he had just proposed to Shannon his longtime partner in crime of all the nerdy endeavors he had been a part of. Tristan's a BIG Dr. Who buff (he literally has a tattoo of David Tenant's autograph) and he asked if I would like to shoot a Save the Day shoot with a Dr. Who theme and that his friend had a TARDIS that we can use as a prop. I was expecting to see a miniature TARDIS, but was I proven wrong. You can check out that gallery here

Back to the wedding, needless to say it was Dr. Who themed. All the bridesmaids were dressed as honorary TARDIS's and guess who made a guest appearance? The real TARDIS.  The wedding was held at the beautiful Orchard View (http://www.orchardview.ca/) wedding and banquet center in Ottawa. It was an unseasonably warm and sunny day. The decor arranged by Monara Events (https://www.instagram.com/monaraevents) matched with the couple's theme perfectly.
